At our school we have a Parent Teacher Association called “The Friends of the Convent of Jesus and Mary Infant School and Nursery”, which is a registered charity (1103910). All parents and carers automatically become members of the Parent Teacher Association when their child joins the school. The association has a Committee, which is elected at the beginning of each school year. The Committee then works throughout the school year organising fundraising initiatives and activities that we use to fund different projects. In recent years the Parent Teacher Association has helped to fund the refurbishment of the school playgrounds, the Chapel, the garden, the library (books and murals), the scooter park, audio equipment and a range of IT equipment including new interactive whiteboards for each classroom. Our school hugely values this support and the way in which the Parent Teacher Association works so well to build such a strong community within the school.
