Parent and School Communication

Parents are welcome to discuss with the Staff the progress of their children and to see Records of Learning and Assessment.  This is done by making an appointment with the Class Teacher for outside of class times.

The Headteacher is also available to see parents/carers to talk over any issues or to report on the progress of the pupils after the parent has initially consulted with the class teacher.

The Home/School journal for homework is used to maintain contact between home and school on a daily basis.

In Nursery and Reception , a weekly rolling  programme is arranged for parents to discuss their child’s learning with staff.

Prospective parents and their children  are invited to visit the school and meet the staff in June each year. Further meetings are arranged for September each year.

Parent Mail

In an effort to communicate with parents and carers more effectively and to reduce the use of paper we use Parent Mail . This is a text based communication system.  Parents are requested to complete a form with up to date mobile phone numbers and email address.  It is essential that the school office is notified immediately of any change to phone numbers or email address.

The telephone number of parents during the day, if different from the home telephone number , must be given to the School Office as it may be necessary to contact a parent urgently.

If it is necessary to take a child out of school during the day, please inform the school office where you will have to sign your child out and indicate the reason.

Any change of address /phone numbers must be notified immediately to the school office.
